As a member of the Azusa club I have been given the privilege to participate in the Empowerment course in Leadership.
The session that has most impacted my life is the lesson about not sending your Ducks to Eagle School! Ducks will always be ducks and eagles will always be eagles. Trying to teach a duck to be an eagle will frustrate the duck, the eagles that have the duck in their class, and their teacher!
I do not have a staff but I have been applying this lesson to my family.
My son has his own unique personality and I had been trying to make him into something he was not. I was always comparing him to his cousins and trying to force him to be like them.
After the session I realised why we were both so frustrated! God made him a certain way and I cannot change him. I need to love and accept him the way he is.
This course is a blessing and an eye opener and I would recommend it to every Christian Entrepreneur. Not only will it help you empower your employees but it is also wonderful for building family relationships!
